Why does ConnectUC keep prompting at login that the app is muted?
The app being muted is due to Chrome's Media Engagement Index (MEI) score. Clicking anywhere in the window once eliminates the issue. We expect this to go away over time as you use ConnectUC.
To bypass this problem, app.connectuc.io can be added via the methods below (browser-specific):
- Edge by navigating to edge://settings/content/mediaAutoplay
- Chrome by navigating to chrome://settings/content/sound
- Firefox by navigating to Menu -> Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Find 'Permissions and click "Settings" next to Autoplay.
Using the 'installed' version of ConnectUC also bypasses the MEI issue.
